For the month of October I have been busy telling all of you that the Veloster can be completely tricked out for less than twenty grand. Ok, so I may have overlooked one slight option.

Turns out Hyundai is preparing to release the new Veloster Ark. This version of the little car will be ready for the test track and rally tracks alike. Pushing two hundred horsepower, this little baby will be the bridge between the two different worlds of driving.

With twin turbochargers to give the Veloster Ark some extra kick, and a newly designed sporty body style, this version of our new favorite little guy will be hard pressed to catch. Anything remotely in the same class as the Ark will be eating dust for sure.

Now this doesn’t mean you still can’t have your cake and eat it too. The Hyundai Veloster is still meant to be the most affordable Hyundai on the market. The only difference between then and now is that if you’re reaching your mid life crisis sometime soon, then it still remains an option for you. Let’s face it, you’re pretty tired of your old car by now. The same old oil change, brake service, tire rotations, and warnings of the high mileage you’re accumulating.

My advice to you here is to check out your new options from Hyundai. If you’re looking for something a little more elegant than the new Veloster, why not check out the new Elantra? Hyundai has been rolling out new improvements, new models, and straight out new cars now for years. As we get ready to approach the supposed end of the world in 2012, at least we’re riding that train in style. Ok seriously, the world is not going to end, and you are really going to want to enter the next decade in a Hyundai. With top class safety, redesigned interior, and again, a really great outer look, this is the company logo that you are going to want sitting in your garage.

It has already been months since we starting talking about the newest accent in the country. If you see this little beauty you will soon start to think that we’ve all shrunk, but then again, the best things come in small packages.

Here’s the deal. We all know that the whole green thing is in and growing. What I personally tried to convince people is that fads are not what we should be focusing on. The whole purpose of the movement is supposed be that efficiency should be the way of life. The Hyundai Accent is just that, efficient.

With towering numbers for fuel mileage, and the efficiency I suppose not to take up too much space….well anywhere, the Accent is the key to the movement. Once you get a chance to see one of these things on the road, you’re going to know exactly what I’m talking about here.

When the first compact cars came out, we were young and didn’t really know why we were building the cars in the first place. Designers simply thought the whole purpose was to be small. It is just like the people that think spending a whole ton of money is supposed to make you green. Fools all of them, but they did help us get to the point we’re at now. We finally realize that the design of a vehicle like the Accent, just because it may be smaller than others, doesn’t mean it has to lack anything.

Now when these older little cars get in an accident here in Peoria, auto repair can become a little less than necessary, however, that in and of itself is one more plus to the new incarnation of the compact car. Some of you may look at the new Hyundai Veloster and wonder where the turnkey goes to wind up the motor. Some of you may think it would make a great gift for your kid that has really gotten into remote controlled cars. However, the smart ones of you know that you’re about to be trend setters and have a whole lot of extra cash in your pocket.

If you recall from a few weeks ago, I told you that the Veloster could be 100 percent decked out for less than twenty grand. That is an unheard of number, and not the kind of unheard of that you say just to say. This is literally a fully loaded price that only shows up on bicycles. Lance Armstrong could come up with a twenty thousand dollar bicycle without breaking a sweat.

Gas Mileage

I realize I harp on this quite a bit, but please note that my harp is perfectly in tune to what people want out there these days. When you tell someone they can get forty miles per gallon, they still think you’re talking about a hybrid. For the most part you normally would be. Fact is, a car a small yet versatile at the new Hyundai Veloster to get that kind of mileage out of a single gallon of gasoline, while still delivering on all the other perks, still defies reason to most people.

Here in Peoria, used cars can take a beating with the fast paced, little Chicago atmosphere that we love here. Anything you may want is either here, or just down the road a bit in Bloomington. You don’t have to go to a city to get the benefits of the compact but efficient lifestyle they love up north. Most people in Peoria, used Hyundai Sonata fits all of their needs, but what if their needs suddenly have a sixteen year old daughter that has to fit in with the in crowd? Being able to buy daddy’s little girl a new car on her sweet sixteen would definitely make you the dad of the year. So I advise you to write a check.

So I read this article about a guy thinking that we were out of mojo. Are you people serious right now? Hyundai has never been stronger as a company and our cars have never looked or performed better.

These days everyone is waiting for somebody to fail. It seems like you’re just expected to fall off pace and make room for the next lazy guy to take over until he falls apart. Really!?

Work hard people! That is the principle that got us here, and that is the principle that will take us all the way to the top. One of the cars that is going to get us there will be the all new Accent. With two styles, hatchback and sedan, there is an Accent for anyone looking for a compact car that they can actually fit in. Get with the times writers. Just because some of the other car companies got stupid and lost it all, doesn’t mean that will become the new norm. Hyundai’s cars will continue to innovate the industry and you will continue to be amazed.

Granted, the Accent’s gas mileage is a little low, but we’ve more than made up for that by creating a car that won’t change its MPG’s despite how you drive.

Does not matter! This car will get the same gas mileage regardless. Hey Peoria, used car sales are about to change from old to new with cars like this one coming on the market. Get with the times! That old adage helps bring me to my main point, and that is that anything fully loaded is better than unloaded. The big problem here is who has the money to fully trick out their car and brag about it being fully loaded? Usually I would have to say, very few people indeed, but not now my friends.

Introducing the new Hyundai Veloster, and what you can do with it for under 25 grand. What looks like something out of a Fast and Furious movie, or at least before all the decals, the blue fire out of the tail pipe, and the strangely clad women, is actually your ticket to ride the fully loaded train.

Starting at just a shade over seventeen grand, the new configurator on Hyundai’s website states that even with destination fees, you’re still pulling off the lot for about twenty three six. Not too shabby for anything to be fully loaded now is it?

Even if you throw the fancy wheel upgrade, and splurge on the floormats, you are still going to come away with a fancy car for the price of a modest sedan. Granted you could go down to the Fast and OH SO Furious mart and spend your life savings, but the really nice thing is you really don’t have to.

In the month of July, we came just short of 7,000 Accents sold. Clearly people have caught the buzz and this Accent is being imitated.

Ok, enough language jokes for now. Moving on to what is making this car such a hit. No matter where you live in this country, times can be tough and gas prices are certainly not helping. The increased mileage that this little beauty can crank out will keep your pains out of the wallet. Imagine going back to filling up the car for 20 or 30 bucks and still going as far as you would on a 60 dollar tank of gas.

How Amazing would that be???

With its cute little lines and sub compact body, it fit anywhere and was made on the cheap without looking or feeling like it was. Every car manufacturer has its bargain car, and this very simply was ours. The great new s I can bring you today is that our little baby here will not only still be a bargain, but it will also have all those finishing touches you’ve come to expect from your new Hyundai.

1. 1.       The outside will have the style you expect without changing what made it popular in the first place.
2. 2.       The interior will have the new hardware of our modern age
3. 3.       The interior design will have a fluidic wave to its lines giving you a comfortable feel in the cabin.

And of course, being tiny compared to some, the gas mileage of the new Accent will surpass the mileage you remember from your lower income past. In the meantime Peoria, brakes are important and you should get them checked by our service department. Some bozo referred to our new Hybrid Sonata in some very peculiar ways across several different categories. So far down here at the lot, our favorite is where he says our technology is better than anyone else’s.

In case you didn’t know what a hybrid car actually is, I’ll explain. The entire system of the modern hybrid is a highly efficient gas powered internal combustion engine like normal, but combined with the gas saving technology of a battery so that when the car is in low power circumstances, it runs off the charge and not the gas tank. Make sense?

Too Bad, Moving On

I’ll put it another way. Hyundai is being praised for the advancement of our use of the LG lithium ion gel polymer battery. What is it you ask? Well I have no idea other than it rules compared to the other guys. Honestly, what this all adds up to is that we already know how to make a highly efficient engine, and we’ve had the foresight to couple that with the most efficient battery we could find to give you the most efficient hybrid to be on the market.

Now To The Bozo

So, this guy did have some suggestions of what we needed to work on. There was a complaint about our handling and acceleration. First off on that, handling will come later when we get the car itself to work. Handling is what, a couple of shocks and a steering column?? Give me a break man! As for the acceleration, I bet this guy would complain that the space shuttle can’t roll its windows down! Hey man, it is a hybrid, people are not buying these things for drag racing. This car is designed to give drivers a safe ride in a money saving vehicle. My advice to you would be to pump your criticism brakes and try this again after a time out.

Look, we know the hybrid needs work, and you should all know that we’re working on it, in the meantime, keep coming to us for auto repair, and when it’s ready, we’ll give it to you brand new and ready for the road.

You know how you go to the mall, or shopping center, or the local village bazaar and find those annoying compact car parking spaces. I mean seriously, who is driving these things besides sixteen year old girls and pizza delivery boys? It is time for compact cars to get their cool back, and not be quite so compact.

This year saw a revamp of the compact car market all together. Now with newer, better, and larger choices, anyone can afford a car that they’re not fighting for elbow room in. With 2011 models like the Hyundai Elantra, they won’t even have to fight for leg room.

Parking

Now keeping all this in mind, I disagree with the compact car spots. Next you’ll see spots for motorcycles. Just because you bought a silly little car, does not give you the same special privileges as the handicapped. That just doesn’t make any sense at all. They’re disabled and can’t help how they are, and you are again I say, a silly person for not getting a new compact Elantra.

The great thing about the 2011 compact Elantra, is you get all the benefits of owning a Hyundai with a much heavier wallet to play around with. Your gas mileage is extremely high. Combine that savings with what you’ll save on the car itself, and I think you’ll find driving a fancy new car is not just the cool thing to do, but also well within your wheelhouse. You see, this is why I love this job. I help people realize they’re doing silly things and looking foolish, and allow them to grow as a person. Is what you drive really that important? Granted, this may be because I spent all day, waist deep in the Mackinaw River, but there comes a time in a person’s life when all they want is a little luxury. Thankfully you can get that and a whole lot more in the all new Hyundai Genesis.

This car has it all. 8 Speed automatic transmission lets you fly down the road with such smoothness that you barely feel like you’re driving at all. In fact, if you haven’t felt what this car is really like to ride in, let alone drive for yourself, then you are depriving yourself of a truly wonderful experience. Whether you’re loyal to another car brand, or just don’t think the Genesis is in your wheelhouse, I would remind you that it costs nothing for you to come take a test drive. After all, most days I’m sitting right here waiting for you to do that very thing. I’m not saying you have to take one home, but I am certain that I’ll be answering more questions than just how long you can drive it for.

Bottom line here, this car is everything wrapped up in one beautiful package. It has the luxury look and feel that you want out of a flashy car, but doesn’t destroy your wallet like some upper echelon vehicles love to do.

You don’t have to drop six figures for your driveway to look this great. Imagine what it would be like dropping your kids off at school, picking up the dry cleaning, or stopping by Peoria Heights just to feel like a big man. Here in Peoria, used car owners are saving up for their chance to jump into a car just like this one eventually. There time is coming sooner than you think.  If you’re a resident of Peoria, auto repair bills are great in relation to no car payment, but which is more fun to dish out?
